Lokhit Samajik Vikas Sanstha (L.S.V.S.) as organization was formally inducted on 14th of November 1995, on Children’s day, from then L.S.V.S in committed for the overall development of these marginalized sections of the society by using the innovative and best practices of right base approach. We are also committed for increasing the community participation in overall development processes by increasing our awareness level along with the communities by various means of advocacy, campaign and training support so that we can collaboratively exercise our constitutional rights for better, secure and healthier human life.
The chief functionary of the organization, Mr. Bajarang Tate is an activist with, who always yearned for an equitable and just society since his school days. He joined hands along with other activist for the Campaign for Human Rights (CHR- a group working in Marathwada India for the rights of poor and lower caste communities) in the year 1989. After the decision of decentralization of the campaign by CHR, Mr. Tate established L.S.V.S at Massa Village in one of the most deserted and vulnerable districts of Osmanabad, and continued his struggle as an activist of CHR. He started land reform movement in 1990 for the landless in Osmanabad district and was successful in reforming the pasture and waste land of 5500 hector, which was under the jurisdiction of the government. This gave a boost to the organization as a whole to further venture for the constitutional rights of marginalized communities through out Maharashtra state.
